Slave file management: the right encrypted file for every customer tool

In a tuning file service, customers with slave tools can only use files encrypted for them. Sending a plain read by mistake costs time and trust. TuningFile knows which customer is a slave, handles each format, and stops the wrong delivery.

What goes wrong without it

  • You tune the file, forget to encrypt it, and the customer cannot load it.
  • You are not sure whether a customer is a master or a slave, so you guess.
  • Every tool has its own format and its own encrypt step, to repeat by hand.

What TuningFile does

  • Master/slave check. For Magic Motorsport Flex it reads the slave list from your account, matches each customer by e-mail or name, remembers the result and lets you re-check it on demand.
  • Right format per tool. MMS (.mmf), Dimsport TFP (.tfp) and FPO (.fpf), Alientech (.cod) and Autotuner, each encrypted through its own automatic step.
  • Guard against plain reads. If you try to deliver what looks like an unencrypted read to a slave customer, the platform stops you and tells you to encrypt it first.
  • Masters handled properly. A Flex master customer rewrites the read with their own licence, so for them a plain file is allowed.

Also: slave accounts as sub-dealers

If you sell through other workshops, each can have its own account with its own credit balance and pricing. The platform handles onboarding, per-account pricing and invoicing. Read the guide Master vs Slave in chiptuning.

Alientech, KESS, Autotuner, Dimsport, DSManager, Magic Motorsport and Flex are trademarks of their respective owners. TuningFile is not affiliated with them: it connects to the services you already use, with your own accounts and licences.

Frequently asked questions

What is a slave tool in chiptuning?

A tool locked to files supplied by a file service. It only accepts files encrypted for it, so the service must deliver the encrypted file, not the plain read.

How does TuningFile know if a customer is a slave?

For Magic Motorsport Flex it checks the slave list of your account and matches the customer by e-mail or name, and you can re-check it at any time.

What if I deliver a plain read by mistake?

For crypt formats the platform detects it and blocks the delivery to slave customers, asking you to encrypt the file first.
