Hardware and reliability
Stage 3 enters the territory of serious engine modifications: oversized turbo, oversized injectors, additional fuel pump, reinforced clutch or reprogrammed gearbox, racing intercooler. Everything must be sized consistently: a larger turbo without adequate injectors and fuel supply is not effective, on the contrary it creates drivability and reliability problems.
Custom map and intended use
At this level there are no "catalogue" maps: the calibration must be developed to measure, ideally on the dynamometer, monitoring lambda, pressures and temperatures. The achievable powers are very high but the life of the engine is significantly reduced and consumption increases. It is a choice suitable for track, drag or drift, not for daily use, and requires more frequent maintenance and quality components.
Intended use
Stage 3 only makes sense with a clear objective and an adequate budget: it is a project, not a simple "file". Each component (turbo, injectors, fuel supply, clutch, intercooler) must be consistent with the others, and the map must be developed to measure on the bench. Compromises must be accepted: reduced engine life, higher consumption, more frequent maintenance. It's the right choice for track or competition, not for everyday use.
In short, the Stage 3 is a bespoke engineering project, not a simple file: it makes sense with clear objectives, consistent components and full awareness of the trade-offs on durability, consumption and maintenance.
